Si tu mamá es hondureña y tú naciste en Estados Unidos,
generalmente puedes solicitar la nacionalidad hondureña por vínculo familiar.
En la mayoría de los casos, no es necesario un abogado.
Normalmente el trámite consiste en registrar tu nacimiento
y presentar los documentos requeridos ante el
Consulado de Honduras o el Registro Nacional de las Personas (RNP).

I am writing to confirm the travel document and visa requirements for my upcoming cruise visit to Roatán, Honduras.
I will be traveling on a seven-night Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean cruise. I am a lawful permanent resident of the United States and hold a valid Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport.
Could you please confirm:
Whether I need a Honduran visa for a short cruise-port visit to Roatán.
Whether my valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card allows me to enter Honduras without a visa.

Please note first that this website is an independent informational resource and is not an official website of the Government of Honduras or a Honduran consulate. We therefore cannot issue an official or binding confirmation of your eligibility to enter Honduras.
Based on the currently published entry guidance, cruise passengers who visit Honduras only while their ship is in port may be admitted under the short-stay arrangements that apply to cruise visitors. If you are only going ashore in Roatán during your Royal Caribbean ship’s scheduled port call and will return to the ship before departure, you would generally not be expected to obtain a separate Honduran tourist visa for that port visit.
Your status as a U.S. lawful permanent resident is also relevant. However, we have not found a clear statement in the publicly available information from Honduras’ National Institute of Migration confirming that a U.S. Permanent Resident Card automatically replaces the Honduran visa requirement for every Hong Kong SAR passport holder. For that reason, we would not advise relying on the Green Card alone as proof of visa exemption.
For your cruise, you should carry your original, valid Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport and your original U.S. Permanent Resident Card. You should also keep your Royal Caribbean booking confirmation, cruise itinerary, boarding documents, and any documentation showing your return or onward travel readily available.
Honduran immigration authorities state that foreign visitors should have a passport valid for at least six months. Royal Caribbean also advises international travelers to have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the end of the cruise. Since your cruise ends on October 3, 2026, make sure your passport comfortably meets that requirement.
The cruise-port arrangement applies to passengers who remain within the timeframe of the ship’s scheduled visit. If you intend to stay in Honduras after the ship leaves, leave the cruise itinerary, or enter Honduras separately, the normal immigration and visa rules may apply instead.
Before departure, we strongly recommend contacting Royal Caribbean with the exact combination of documents you will be traveling with — a Hong Kong SAR passport and a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card — and asking them to verify your documentation for this specific itinerary. If you need formal written confirmation of your Honduran immigration status, you should obtain it directly from the Honduran National Institute of Migration or an official Honduran diplomatic or consular office.
The final decision on admission is always made by Honduran immigration authorities at the point of entry.
